The EU's combustion engine ban will come into effect in 2035, but Brussels wants to allow only electric company cars five years earlier. FOCUS online car expert Sebastian Viehmann and Hamburg-based car dealer Benjamin David have a clear opinion on this.

Years before the 2035 ban on combustion engines, company cars will be allowed to run exclusively on electric vehicles – at least, that's what a plan from the EU Commission envisions . The proposal, which the EU will soon present and then submit to member states for approval, would have massive repercussions not only for fleet and company cars, but also for rental cars.
